Hi guys,

it's a pleasure to see open source project like Toroid live. This project will fill a gap, and will show
that community can build something sophisticated and competitive to commercial products :)

I have started to research IPTV and I work with my colleagues on IPTV encoders (FreeBSD with DVB-S cards) and
we have developed as well IPTV player using VLC. I am looking forward to integrate bits and pieces of our work together 
to make whole solution working.

I have few Amino boxes, model Aminet 124 (Texas Instruments TMS320DM642) and Aminet 125 (Texas Instruments TMS320DM644x) they are based on IntAct software stack. But currently Amino from Cambridge, UK is looking to change chip vendor and all new boxes will use Intel CE 2110 and  CE 3100 because Intel offers all-in-one chip.
I use as well Motorola boxes - models VIP1910 and VIP1920, they run KreaTV software stack.

I am looking forward to work with you shortly.

Using vlc as a player is great. Also the embedded stuff you have going is great as well.
